Sycolin Retail Center

02/15/2011 - Hunan Cafe opens restaurant in Sycolin Center with the following review.... "First off.. I apologize to Jasmine's but I just love, love the new Chinese restaurant in town. Up to last night, Jasmine was our old "place" to go for good Asian food but Hunan Cafe is scrumptious. On so many levels. We ordered the combination fried rice (hubby is timid) and I had the Thai Basil Beef. We also ordered the Crab Ragoons as well...."

The vegetables on the Thai Basil entree were incredibly fresh (crunchiness of a nice snow pea, anyone?) and the beef slices were nice portioned. The fried rice tasted freshly made and did not skimp on meat as other places normally do. As promised, the rice did not taste greasy.

Opening in a similar time frame is Sandy's Nail and Spa also located in the Sycolin Center in Leesburg. One of the retail spaces is currently available and can be explored by contacting Next Realty.

7/16/2010 - Walgreen's opens latest additon to it's growing familyof retail stores on Battlefield Parkway south of Leesburg. The property was purchased by Schupp Companies in 2008 and developed during the past two years with construction recently completed. The site is adjacent to a residential area and a short distance from the Dulles Greenway connecting Leesburg to the Washington Dulles Tollway.

Jim Villars is responsible for the development of Sycolin Center. The green field property was purchased three years ago and through Jim's guidance the site work has been developed and transformed into the location shown here.

Michele Rice is the Property Manager for Park Street Development and has the responsibility for supporting lease holders. A Kiddie Academy is currently under construction on the Sycolin Center property in additon to a retail center which will become the home for a Salon, and Hunan Restaurant.

 

 

Wilson Center

6/10/2010 - Schupp Companies submits an application to the Arlington County Board to rezone its 2401 Wilson Blvd property from Service Commercial to High Medium Residential Mixed Use. This change is in response to community direction for an orderly transition from the portion of the property currently zoned commercial and the north end of the property which is zoned residential. Schupp's proposal is to rebuild the four current residential units to provide a more attractive transition from the planned hotel to the residential homes.
